I was born on February 6th 1987, in Baltimore, MD. Grew up in Parkville, and listened to Metallica. Played sports but never really got into the whole instrument thing until high school when I was injured and could never return to my love, “Soccer.” I started to play the guitar when I was a freshman in high school at C. Milton Wright. Guitar was more of a hobby for me than anything else. I had no intention of joining a band or making a living out of touring/gigging. Like I mentioned earlier, I was a huge Metallica fan. I was always listening to either Metallica or Alice in Chains, and playing guitar to cd’s like Kill ‘Em All, or Jar of flies. When I started my sophomore year of high school my taste in music began to change. I began to listen to all styles, including my favorite: Reggae.

I’ve always liked Sublime. I believe I was in 6th grade when HFS played Sublime or the song “Own Worst Enemy” by Lit just about every other second.  But it wasn’t until I first heard the song “Officer” by Slightly Stoopid that I became obsessed with Reggae/Rock. That’s when my love for music really took off.

Shortly after I started listening to bands like, Slightly Stoopid, G Love, and of course “DISPATCH,’ I always had to learn their songs. It wasn’t until I finally joined my first band called SandyHook, which I had formed with a high school friend named Bill Isom, that I realized I might be a good bassist. We could never find a good bassist and since our singer also played guitar, I decided to try out bass. It was slow in the beginning because I was not use to playing with my fingers. I had always used a guitar pick whether playing electric or acoustic. I love to play bass now that I have a few years under my belt.  I have played in a number of bands, since 2005, only gigged in two of them.

When I’m not rockin’ it with the boys, I am normally watching sports, whether it be the Ravens or the Capitals. I mean jeez there is only a 2-month off-season for the Caps, so I’m normally watching them. Even when I’m not with the band I’m normally with the band. Haha…..we  are always kickin it, the friendships just continue to grow so its very fun. The band does take up most of my time though, if we aren’t playing we are promoting. There is always work to be done, and we make sure to get it done. So come out to a show and have a drink with us, dance a little, and meet some awesome people. Always stay positive, follow your dreams and remember what Fiction 20 Down says, “Just because it ain’t here yet, don’t mean it ain’t coming!”

Thank you to all of our fans, without you we are nothing. If you aren’t a fan….be one!
